Brown trout - Salmo trutta fario

Indigenous to Slovenia, with exception of Adriatic water system. A lot of different types and genetic variations can be found, with colouring depending on the river or even sections of the same river - varying with water colour or texture of the river bed.

• Spawning time: October - January
• Can grow up to 90 cm (35 inches), 10 kilos (22 pounds)
• Up to 19 inches can be regularly caught
